Purchase a raffle ticket for your chance to win a special quilt made by artist and quilter, Judith Smith, of Pownal, Vermont.

Having painted in watercolors and oils, Judith started quilting in 1996 after moving to Vermont and now “paints with fabric.” She is a member of the Quiet Valley Quilters Guild where she has co-chaired the annual quilt show for several years. Her prize-winning quilts have been displayed at the Bennington Quiltfest, the Berkshire Quilt Festival, and the Vermont Quilt Festival. Her 2011 Vermont Quilt Festival raffle quilt will be shown at many venues from June 2010 until its raffle drawing on August 1st to benefit the Youth Center’s fundraising campaign. It is a sampler quilt that is machine pieced, hand appliquéd, and machine quilted. Judith has provided raffle quilts for several non-profit fundraising events, including both Williamstown schools, Habitat for Humanity and the Pownal Rescue Squad. She also sells her work and accepts commission orders. You can see her quilt in Williamstown at Sundays at Six for four consecutive Sundays beginning on July 11th.
